Demikian disampaikan Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution saat membuka Konsultasi Publik dan Market Sounding Proyek Kerjasama Pemerintah Dengan Badan Usaha Alat Penerangan Jalan (APK) Beserta Smart Roadway Monitoring System Kota Medan di Balai Kota Medan, Jum’at (4/8) petang.
Dalam kesempatan itu, juga dilakukan penandatangan berita acara Konsultasi Publik dan Market Sounding yang dilakukan Bobby Nasution didampingi Kepala Bappeda Kota Medan
Sekaligus Ketua Tim KPBU APJ Kota Medan Benny Iskandar beserta unsur terkait di antaranya KADIN Kota Medan, anggota Asosiasi Listrik dan Mekanikal Indonesia, Bagian Pengadaan Barang dan Jasa Setdako Medan serta akademisi.
Bobby Nasution mengatakan, keterbatasan anggaran menjadi salah satu alasan sehingga dirasa perlu untuk melakukan sejumlah hal dan kolaborasi dalam menghadirkan APJ, termasuk melalui sistem KPBU. Terkait itu, Bobby Nasution berharap agar semua hal terkait dapat berjalan lancar.
“KPBU ini menjadi yang pertama di Kota Medan. Kami tentu berharap semuanya dapat berjalan lancar dalam pelaksanaanya dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.
Adapun yang harus kita junjung dalam pelaksanaannya adalah transparansi dan niat percepatan di dalam kegiatannya, ” kata Bobby Nasution.
Menantu Presiden RI Joko Widodo ini selanjutnya menuturkan, saat ini baru ada 90 ribu-an penerangan jalan di Kota Medan.
Sementara, dibutuhkan sekitar 124.000 penerangan jalan untuk menerangi seluruh wilayah ibukota Provinsi Sumatera Utara.
“Artinya, baru sekitar 70 persen jumlah penerangan jalan yang ada dari yang kita butuhkan.
Termasuk, kita butuh kehadiran lebih lampu LED yang saat ini persentasenya masih berada di angka 15 persen, ” imbuhnya di hadapan sejumlah pimpinan perangkat daerah yang hadir.
