Sejumlah warga yang tinggal di Kelurahan Gedung Johor, Kecamatan Medan Johor mengaku bersuka cita dan bersyukur karena beberapa ruas jalan di tempat tinggal mereka telah selesai diaspal dan diperlebar.
Tidak hanya berdampak terhadap aktifitas warga dan arus lalu lintas, kondisi jalan yang sudah baik ini juga berdampak positif bagi perekonomian warga.
Pengaspalan dan pelebaran jalan yang dilakukan Pemko Medan melalui Dinas SDABMBK ini di Kecamatan Medan Johor ini adalah upaya dalam mewujudkan Medan Tanpa Lubang sebagaimana visi misi Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution.
Seperti di Jalan Eka Surya, Kelurahan Gedung Johor, kondisi jalan yang sebelumnya berlubang dan tidak tersentuh perbaikan kini sudah diaspal mulus.
Bahkan ada beberapa meter jalan yang di cor semen karena kerap rusak meskipun diaspal akibat kondisi jalan cekungan sehingga jika hujan akan terjadi genangan air. Pengaspalan dilakukan Dinas SDABMBK sepanjang 1.031 meter dengan lebar 6,5 meter.
Asmuni, warga yang tinggal dijalan Eka Surya, mengaku senang dan sangat bersyukur karena jalan tempat tinggalnya sudah selesai diaspal, bahkan jalan tersebut juga diperlebar. Karena jalan sudah bagus, diakuinya arus lalu lintas juga menjadi lancar.
“Alhamdulillah sudah empat bulan yang lalu jalan ini selesai diaspal dan diperlebar, yang awalnya lebar 4 meter kini menjadi 6 meter lebih. Lalu lintas pun menjadi lancar dan tidak tersendat seperti dulu,” Jelasnya.
Menurut Asmuni, sebelum diperbaiki sudah belasan tahun kondisi jalan Eka Surya ini berlubang dan rusak parah apalagi di titik jalan cekungan, meskipun diperbaiki jika hujan akan hancur kembali aspalnya. Kini sudah tidak terjadi lagi karena sudah di cor semen.
Ditambahkan Asmuni, jalan Eka Surya ini merupakan jalan yang sangat dibutuhkan masyarakat dalam beraktifitas.
Tidak hanya warga Medan saja tetapi warga Kabupaten Deli Serdang juga menggunakan jalan ini, karena letaknya yang berada di perbatasan daerah.
Oleh karenanya meskipun jalan ini berada di pinggiran kota, namun tetap diperhatikan oleh Pemko Medan dengan memperbaiki dan memperlebar jalan.
“Kondisi jalan rusak beberapa tahun ini wajar karena jalan Eka Surya ini terletak di pinggiran jadi kurang mendapatkan perhatian.
Namun di masa sekarang ini kami merasa diperhatikan sebab jalan sudah diaspal dan diperlebar. Warga dan pengguna jalan pun merasa lebih nyaman,” jelasnya.
Dijelaskan Asmuni, jalan yang sudah bagus ini berdampak juga bagi perekonomian warga.
Terbukti kini sudah semakin banyak warga yang berjualan karena arus lalulintas yang ramai dan lancar.
“Keuntungan dari jalan bagus ini juga berdampak bagi warga dalam membuka usaha.
Artinya jalan ini berdampak juga bagi perekonomian,” Sebut Asmuni sembari mengucapkan terima kasih kepada bapak Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution yang telah memperhatikan jalan Eka Surya.
Selain jalan Eka Surya, Jalan Eka Sama, Kelurahan Gedung Johor sepanjang 454 meter dengan lebar 8,9 meter juga telah selesai diaspal dan diperlebar.
Tidak hanya memperbaiki jalan, Dinas SDABMBK juga melakukan perbaikan saluran drainase di jalan tersebut.
Eni Harsa, seorang ibu rumah tangga mengaku bersyukur jalan Eka Sama ini diaspal dan diperlebar sehingga pengguna jalan dapat lebih nyaman dan tidak ada lagi kemacetan.
Sebab dulunya jalan Eka Sama yang merupakan perlintasan jalan ini sempit dan rusak serta becek, sehingga mengakibatkan kemacetan dan aktifitas warga juga terganggu.
“Bersyukur sekali jalan ini sudah diaspal dan diperlebar. Dulu jalannya rusak dan sempit, bahkan sering mobil berselisih masuk parit.
Kini jalan Eka Sama sudah lebar dan bagus serta lancar, kami pun beraktifitas tidak terganggu,” ujar Eni.
Diakui Eni, dirinya sudah puluhan tahun tinggal di jalan Eka Sama, sejak itu jalannya sudah rusak dan sempit. Baru ini diperbaiki dan diperlebar.
Saluran drainase juga diperbaiki. Tentunya kondisi saat ini, menurut Eni berdampak positif bagi usahanya.
“Karena jalan sudah bagus, usaha saya juga lumayan meningkat. Untuk itu kami ucapkan terima kasih ke Pak Wali Kota sudah memperbaiki jalan ini sehingga jalan jadi lebar dan tidak macet lagi,” sebutnya.
Selanjutnya jalan Karya Jaya, Kelurahan Gedung Johor sepanjang 1.476,5 meter dengan lebar 7 meter juga telah selesai diperbaiki. Jalan yang di beton ini merupakan lanjutan dari pembetonan sebelumnya.
Atas selesainya pembetonan ini, Syarifudin warga yang memiliki usaha di jalan tersebut mengapresiasi dan berterima kasih kepada Pemko Medan.
“Sebelum di cor semen jalan Karya Jaya ini berlubang, sesudah di cor semen rapi dan arus lalu lintas jadi lancar, Alhamdulillah.
Dulunya jalan ini berlubang karena tonase kendaraan yang lewat berlebih. Kini sudah bagus berdampak juga bagi kami yang memiliki usaha,” sebut Syarifudin.
Sementara itu Zulkhairi, warga jalan Karya Wisata, Kelurahan Gedung Johor mengaku perbaikan jalan di Kecamatan Medan Johor ini adalah upaya yang dilakukan Wali Kota Medan Bobby Nasution dalam memberikan kenyamanan bagi warganya.
“Selama pak Bobby Nasution memimpin Medan nampak sekali perubahan yang dilakukannya terkhusus untuk jalan- jalan yang ada di Kecamatan Medan Johor, seperti jalan Karya Wisata yang dulunya rusak dan sempit kini sudah diperbaiki dan diperlebar,” pungkasnya.(yg)
