TELISIK | BINJAI – Stasiun Pengisian Kendaraan Listrik Umum (SPKLU) PLN UP 3 Binjai diresmikan. Kegiatan itu berlangsung di kantor UP3 PLN Binjai, Jalan T Amir Hamzah Binjai Utara, Senin (20/3/2023) sore.
Wali Kota Binjai Amir Hamzah mengatakan, kendaraan listrik yang saat ini sedang digalakkan. Hal itu merupakan upaya pemerintah untuk mengurangi beban subsidi BBM, serta menekan polusi udara dan suara kendaraan.
“Saya berharap, SPKLU ini dapat dibangun dibeberapa tempat keramaian. Seperti di kantor kota, BSM, batalyon, polres, maupun kejaksaan. Sehingga dapat mudahkan masyarakat pengguna kendaraan listrik,” ujar Amir.
Sementara, GM PLN UID Sumut Tonny Bellamy menerangkan, diresmikannya SPKLU itu, sebagai komitmen PLN mendukung program nol emisi karbon.
“PLN terus mendukung berkembangnya kendaraan listrik dengan membangun dan meresmikan SPKLU. Secara nasional, SPKLU sudah berjumlah 600 unit. Sedangkan di wilayah Sumut, berjumlah 9 unit termasuk di Kota Binjai,” ungkapnya.
Pendirian SPKLU, lanjut Tonny, kedepannya akan dibuat layaknya SPBU dengan melibatkan pihak swasta. “Di Sumut sudah ada satu SPKLU yang dikelola swasta. Mungkin kedepannya akan terus bertambah,” tuturnya.
Tonny juga menjelaskan, kendaraan listrik sangat hemat dibanding kendaraan konvensional. “Jika kita memakai BBM, katakan Ron 92 dengan harga Rp13.000, itu setara dengan 1,2 Kwh atau dirupiahkan sekitar Rp2.600, ini jelas lebih hemat. Karena itu kita berharap, agar populasi kendaraan listrik meningkat dan Binjai menjadi kota ramah lingkungan,” paparnya.
Di tempat yang sama, Manajer UP3 PLN Binjai Arif Rahman Hakim, menjelaskan, kendaraan listrik untuk sepedamotor mampu menjelajah sejauh 70 Km, sedangkan mobil listrik mampu menempuh jarak 200-300 Km. “Peresmian SPKLU ini bagian dukungan PLN dalam percepatan program motor listrik berbasis baterai,” ucapnya.
Peresmian SPKLU ini dilakukan oleh Wali Kota Binjai Amir Hamzah, bersama GM UID PLN Sumut Tonny Bellamy didampingi Forkopimda yang ditandai dengan pengguntingan pita.
Usai meresmikan, wali kota beserta rombongan melakukan parade kendaraan listrik yang dimulai dari kantor UP3 PLN menuju Jalan T Imam Bonjol, masuk ke Jalan Sultan Hasunuddin menuju Jalan Jend Sudirman, dan kembali ke UP3 PLN Binjai.
Selain peresmian SPKLU, juga dilakukan penandatanganan perjanjian percepatan pembayaran rekening listrik dan Pajak Penerangan Jalan (PPJ) oleh wali kota dan PLN UP3 Binjai, pemberian motor listrik oleh GM PLN UID Sumut kepada wali kota sebagai hadiah peringatan MTQ, dan ditutup dengan peresmian komunitas kendaraan listrik Binjai.
Pada kesempatan itu, hadir Wali Kota Binjai Drs Amir Hamzah, General Manajer Unit Induk Distribusi (GM UID) PLN Sumut Tonny Bellamy, Manajer UP3 PLN Binjai Arif Rahman Hakim, Kajari, Kapolres, dan unsur Forkopimda lainnya. (Win)
